MATTISON FITZGERALD and ROCHELLE FORD at CARIB ART GALLERY
Rarely in New York are we exposed to the artistic experiences and accomplishments of contemporary painters and sculptors from other states of the Union. The International Carib Art Gallery in SOHO, New York, has taken the initiative to exhibit in its spacious salons, the work of two artists from California.

Mattison FitzGerald is a painter who shows her luminous paintings where we observe that nothing in her style resembles anything we have seen in the so called "School of New York".

This show of the best of California art brings with it the metal sculptures of Rochelle Ford, a multi-talented, experienced master sculptor who gives life to the hard metal she utilizes for her creations, making the raw material come alive.

In addition to presenting us her art in seldom used forms of contemporary sculpture, Rochelle Ford achieves a much evolved sense of movement. In this artist we find a leader in California sculpture.

The sculptures of Rochelle Ford were displayed in the "Two Woman Show" with Mattison FitzGerald, at the International Carib Art Gallery, SOHO, 502 Broadway, Suite 502, Manhattan, New York.
